Trisha Krishnan is a South Indian film performing artist and model.
She works primarily in the South Indian film industry, where she has
built up herself as a main lead actress. She won the title of Miss Madras (1999) that makes her entrance into film industry. Her first
appearence on the screen for a supporting role in a Tamil film Jodi
(1999). She assumed her first lead role in the Tamil film Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) opposite to Surya Sivakumar.
Later,
she starred in the successful Tamil movies like Saamy (2003), Ghilli
(2004), Telugu cinema Varsham (2004). For the latter she secured her
first South Filmfare Best Actress Award. She also got the South Filmfare
Best Actress Award for second and third time for the movies
Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005) and Adavari Matalakku Ardhale Varule
(2007) respectively.
